Osaka is mainly covered by JR Osaka Loop, 8 Subway lines and other private railways. A single trip ticket starts from about 180 Yen ; and you can get it from the ticket machines at the station. However, if you intend to take trains/subways frequently, you can consider getting one of these passes.
Special Osaka Visitor Ticket (Osaka 1 day ticket). 550 Yen per day. Unlimited rides on subways. Can be purchased at Kansai Airport. This ticket was previously sold outside Japan in selected countries only (China, HK, Taiwan etc) but it’s now available at Kansai Airport too. Pros : Best value for money. Osaka Amazing Pass. 2,300 Yen for 1 day and 3,000 Yen for 2 days. This is strictly speaking, not a transport pass, but allows the traveller to visit 28 tourist spots free of charge, in addition to unlimited rides on the subway Pros : Ideal for those who intend to visit some of these facilities.
